Both houses of Parliament
saw repeated disruptions through the day. Opposition benches protests
were related to the National Herald case. The Leader of the House in
Rajya Sabha said that the government was ready to take up a discussion
on the matter and hear the grievances of the opposition members.

Rajya Sabha:
Bills for consideration and passing-
The Whistle Blowers Protection Bill and the Juvenile Justice Bill were listed for passing today and is likely to be taken up tomorrow.
The Whistle Blowers Protection Bill specified ground under which public interest disclosures may not be made.
The Juvenile Justice Bill permits juveniles between these ages of 16-18 years to be tried as adults for heinous offences.
Children
in the 16-18 year age group account for a majority of children arrested
for crimes. Their share in total arrests increased from 56.4% in 2003
to 66.6% in 2013.
Over
the last 10 years, crimes committed by children of all age groups, as a
percentage of all crimes committed in the country, have risen from 1.0%
to 1.2%.
