Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha took up discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address. In both the houses, members raised a number of concerns on a range of issues. These included law and order issues in several parts of the country, challenges related to the implementation of GST, farmer suicides and farmer distress, internal security issues in Jammu and Kashmir, ceasefire violations, among others. Some members of the opposition urged that the Triple Talaq Bill be sent to a committee for detailed scrutiny before passage.
